all arbeyd ys vorlaren.

Wo God nicht sülffst bewart de stadt
vnn buwet all törn vnd döre,
Dar helpt nën gelt noch minschen rath,
all arbeydt ys vorlaren:
Wo Godt nicht hefft tho waken lust,
dar ys all höde vnd wacht vmme sust,
all kunst vnd lyst moth vallen.

Darum mercket vp vnd seet nhu an,
de gy ane louen lëuen,
Juwe brodt söken myt fro vpstan,
he wylt also nicht geuen:
De en früchten, den valt ydt tho
ym slap ane alle noth vn möy,
de syner guad vorwachten.

Des lyues frucht all mynschen kindt
synth ock van Got eyn erue,
Vnn gyfft tho lon wem he se gönt,
he leth nement vordernen:
Myt segen he all dynck eruült,
dorch en wert hunger, dorst gestylt
vth rechter gnade vnd güde.

De pyl synt yn des Resen macht,
wenn he wyl ghan tho stryde,
Vnd schutt se wor he se hefft gedacht
tho rechter stedt vnd tyden:
So synt all minschen yunck vnde oldt
yn Gades macht vnnd syner ghewalt,
he wyl se al vorsorgen.

Darumm lath vns truwen vp syn wort
vnd seen vp synde hande:
He wert vnns helpen hyr vnd dort,
wy werdē nicht tho schanden:
Den köker he vns vüllen wyl,
so hebbe wy gewunnen spyl
vor vusen vyenden alle.
