There the monument was reassembled with the exception of fragment A (see Riese 1982c:5, as well as own observation during visits in 1996 and 2000). The five known fragments of stele E are differently preserved on their front and back sides, the left and right unsculptured edges are almost undamaged. Because fragments A, B and C lay with their backs facing downwards, the front was exposed to the weather. Large areas of the figure depiction on the front are therefore weathered, but only the outlines of the figures, carved up to 2 cm deep into the limestone, have remained recognisable. Thus, on fragment B, only the outline of the headdress, the head and the shoulder area are recognisable; on fragment C, the legs of the main figure and the outlines of the heads of the two seated figures are preserved, as well as small fields that once contained their name hieroglyphics. The iconographic details of the figures, however, are largely lost and best preserved on the front of fragments D and E. Because this fragment remained in an upright position in the ground and thus offered less surface for attack by the weather, the pictorial work has been preserved in detail on it. However, the identification of details is further complicated by the partial dark grey to black colouring of the stone.
