However, since descriptions of the iconography and measurements of the fragments are missing, the identification of the fragments in situ as parts of Stele S remains uncertain. It is possible that a fragment found in 2001 (PUSAP fragment 43) is the large fragment described by Morley, according to which two human fissures turned outwards by 180° are depicted on a narrow symbolic band. Exactly this composition can be observed on fragment 43. Furthermore, Morley describes that a rounded fragment in the immediate vicinity could be the shaft of Stele S (Morley 1937-1938. IV:67). This would mean that the fragment labelled Stele S by Morley must have broken off below the iconography. If we compare this information with the external shape of PUSAP fragment 43. we can also see a match here.
