Description of E30/3-4 (= n219 = T II B 67[c]): a double-folio, nearly complete but partly illegible as a result of water damage

Description of E30/5 (= n217 = T Il B 66): a vertical strip from the outer margin of a folio;

Description of E30/6a (= n216 = T Il B 52 + T Il B 66): the upper part of a folio;

Description of E30/6b (= n218 = [T III] B): a fragment which does not join E30/6a but whose content shows that it belongs to the Iower part of the same folio; and

Description of E30/7 (= n410 = T Il B 66): The writing of certain letters, especially c, and the spacing of the lines agree with those of E30 rather than those of E26. The suspicion that this fragment belongs to the manuscript E30 is confirmed by the colophon in red ink on its Verso, which seems to name Aḥiqar (ʾxyqr) himself. If, as appears to be the case, the Recto contains maxims, it would follow that the Sogdian text does not include the “frame story”, for which there is not enough room in the lacuna between the surviving parts of the Recto and Verso.

Description of E30/5 (= n217 = T II B 66): Vertical strip including the complete outer margin and parts of the top and bottom margins. The words mn' z't', written in red ink, occur more than once on each side. The last word of R13 has been crossed through with a stroke in red ink. Both sides show mirror-image impressions from the lost facing pages.
